Upcycling Your Old Furniture with HappyJobb Tools
Tools needed:
Electric sander
Paint sprayer
Wood filler
Sandpaper (various grits)
Paintbrushes
Safety goggles
Steps:
Assess your old furniture pieces and determine which ones can be upcycled. Look for solid wood pieces with sturdy frames and interesting shapes.
Remove any hardware and clean the surfaces of the furniture thoroughly.
Use wood filler to fill in any cracks, dents, or holes in the furniture. Allow to dry and sand the surface smooth.
Use the electric sander to sand down the surface of the furniture, starting with a coarse grit and working up to a fine grit. This will remove any old finish and create a smooth surface for painting.
Use the paint sprayer to apply a primer coat to the furniture. Allow to dry completely.
Apply your chosen paint color with the paint sprayer, making sure to apply thin, even coats. Allow to dry between coats.
Once the final coat is dry, sand any rough spots or drips with a fine grit sandpaper.
Reattach hardware and enjoy your newly upcycled furniture!
Don't forget to use the HappyJobb tools listed above for a safe and efficient upcycling project. Happy upcycling!
